For many decades the West has recognized Yoga as an excellent method of radically improving an individual's ability to handle stress/pressure at work and in their lives in general.
ACORN CONSULTANCY has a team of highly qualified and experienced yoga teachers, respiration and relaxation therapists, headed by Ajit Kaur Sandhu. The team have had many years of experience in teaching various groups with different needs.
In recent years the vast majority of people attending our Yoga classes state that stress was the main motivation for attending. Either they were using Yoga as part of their recovery process from burnout, or as a means of stress prevention.
Traditional Yoga postures, combined with more dynamic exercises have proven highly successful for releasing stress and increasing energy levels. Also there is a strong emphasis on improving the breathing technique, which, amongst other things, is very important in helping people to remain centered, stable and calm in all situations.
These methods were born out of, not only Yoga, but also Eastern Martial Arts traditions as Aikido, as well as techniques developed in the West during the last 40 years.
Students learn natural methods of relaxation and how to calm the thinking processes. This results in an improvement in concentration and an increase in attention span, all factors that contribute to employees becoming mentally at ease, and at the same time, alert and "on the ball"
